Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai is an upcoming 2020 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Anurag Kashyap and Written by Nihit Bhave, the suspense drama follows a bank cashier who finds an unlimited source of money in her kitchen sink.
The trailer uses demonetization, that Prime Minister Narendra Modi put into effect in 2016, as a plot device. It is the story of a strong-willed middle-class housewife, who finds cash flowing out of her kitchen sink every night. This sends her life into a tailspin, as she starts spending the cash to pay off her husband’s debts. But then demonetization strikes, Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes are scrapped, and Sarita soon works herself into a sticky and dangerous spot. RELEASE DATE
On Tuesday, Netflix released the first look and release date of the suspense drama. Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai,which went on floors sometime in June 2019, will release on Netflix on 5 June.The first look still featured Kher and Mathew in a drab blue-walled apartment.

Saiyami Kher as as Sarita Pillai, whom she described as a 30-year-old overworked middle-class woman, and the sole breadwinner of the household. According to a press release, her life is stuck in a rut but only changes direction when she finds a continuous stash of money under her kitchen sink.
